Manzano Mountain Review is an online New Mexico literary journal affiliated with UNM-Valencia.
 Notes from the Editors

New Mexico seems so much colder suddenly, and winter is my favorite time for reading.I’m currently reading a lot about time travel, which always makes me think a lot about
time, how it’s spent, and how quickly.

We are already winding down a vibrant fall semester here at UNM-Valencia. I am wishing you a productive ending. Remember, as the rush of finals overtake all of us, that our time and how we spend it is so valuable. Learn and love and be excited about what you are doing even if it’s hard.

As always, if you have art, poetry, or flash fiction, send it to [email protected]

It is cold and I am feeling a bit like a black bear. As much as I love the waking world, a part of me wants to crawl into a wellinsulated cave not to emerge till April.

Alas, I must stay awake; fall semester may have reached the fourth quarter, but there is still plenty of game to play.
That and biscochitos. If I were to sleep through the holidays, there would be no biscochitos left for me.

Thanks to those of you who came out for the Reading New Mexico event, and for continuing to support the literary arts at UNM-Valencia. Have a great last few weeks of class, and a successful finals week.
